After creating AdoptAClassroom.org, Jamie Rosenberg discovered a unique insight most teachers already know: classrooms operate micro-banks using brown envelopes, cash, and piles of receipts. From field trips to folders, grants to school books, there’s a constant stream of money going through the “First Nation Bank of Mrs. Smith’s English Class.”
The understanding and obsession with solving this problem is what makes us tick. We know that if we can simplify the incredibly frustrating process of solving for classroom needs, our students will be smarter, and our teachers will be happier.
